D. , Roosevelt, President-elect announced after his talk with the British Ambassador, Sir Ronald ' t Lindsay,'on Monday ,that "the ' broader aspects of the world economic and other situations" had been discussed. He said the conversation would be resumed at an early date, as soon as his choice of his Secretary of State had been announced. He would then have him and Sir Ronald Lindsay at work on the problems involved. "The British Ambassador has given Mr. Roosevelt unofficially his views of the British Government touching the broader aspects of the world and other situations," said the officii; statement. "The conversations between them have been confirned to the general aspect of the problems. No specific proposals relating to the world economic conference of interGovernment debts wer,e discussed. The resumption of the conversation will take place at an early date. Mr. Roosevelt will ask the new Secretary of State to confer unofficially on the same subject."

The conference lasted two hours. Upon leaving Mr. Roosevelt's home Sir Ronald Lindsay said he concurred in the statement issued by Mr. Roosevelt.
