Dr. E. Kidgon, Director of the Meteorological Department, who has been spending a holiday on Mount Egmont, left for the North today. Mr. W. Holmes left Stratford by the mail train this morning for Palmerston North, whsre he is to take up a position at the Manawatu Daily Times. PADDY'S MARKET A ladies' committee of the Catholic Church will hold to-morrow a Paddy's Market, when various and numerous goods will be sold. The market will be held in the Daily News Building.
