Mr. A. DAVID

(President A. and P. Association ).

Mr. Alfred David (President of the Stratford A. and P. Association) extends a hearty welcome to the residents of Eastern Taranaki and Ohura districts to attend the Twenty-third Annual Spring Show at Stratford on People's Day, Thursday, November 17. A special train has been arranged with the Railway Department. The train will leave Ohura in ample time to link up with the special which leaves Tahora. The Show events this year promise to surpass anything previously staged. A great number of the winners at the Royal Show held recently at Palmerston North will be present at Stratford.

The steer riding event, a popular attraction, will again be held. Goat racing, for which 20 entries have been received, gives promise of still greater popularity. Perhaps to s6me people the most interesting event is the open handicap trotting races, of 1J miles each. Of interest to the farming community is the industrial section, comprising as it does huge displays of cooking, needle work, photography, art and school work. Side shows, merry-go-rounds, etc., are there to provide the usual thrill for adventurers.
