LADIES' GOLF

Despite the cold southerly wind, an enjoyable afternoon was spent on the golf links yesterday afternoon, when a team of Waitara ladies visited Stratford and played a match with the home team Stratford won four games, halves two and lost one. The follpw., ing are the results, Waitara names being mentioned first: Mrs "W'hyte and Mrs Knight beat Mrs Mark and Miss Chadwick, 3 and 1; Miss Gorrie and Mrs Dunbar all square with Mrs Bowler and Mrs W. Williams; Mrs. Middleton and Miss Foreman lost to Miss Anderson and Miss Malone, 8 and 7; Misses Aubrey and Allen all square with Mrs Robins,cm and Miss Henry; Mrs Sarter and Mrs Purdie lost to Mrs Graham and Mrs Neal, 4 and 3; Mrs George and Mrs. Prichard lost to Miss Whittle and Mrs. Rutherfurd, 6 and 5; Miss Gaw and Mrs Prior lost to Mrs Allen and Miss M.
