Edstroem, of Sweden, President of the International Athletic Union, on arrival there, declared that Paavo Nurmi must remain disqualified, since the Finnish Association had not cleared up satisfactorily the incidents which led to his losing his amateur status. It is, however, maintained here that Nurmi will participate, in the Olympic Games, or the whole Finnish team will withdraw.
