CRICKET
Ten teams have entered in the South Taranaki Division’s senior competition this year, as compared with eight teams last year. The two new teams are Stratford B and Opunake. Competition matches begin on Saturday, October 17, and on that day Stratford A will play Okaiawa at Hawera, and Stratford B will he at. home to Ivaponga. >A, trial match will be played tomorrow on the High School ground, and the following players are asked ta.be on the ground before 2 o’clock: Dormer, Wilson, Donnelly, Young, Gatton, Payne, Tabart, Priest, McDonald, McKenzie, Cover, Gray, Gower, Henderson, Hancock, Walker, Collins, Burgess, Reed, Rogers and Trotter. All members are requested to attend a special general meeting to be held in the Gym. next Wednesday, at 7 p.m.
