UNWELCOME VISITOR
. ALLEGED PEEPING TOM ). •] f “RAN LIKE A CHAMPION" f t Is it the same Peeping Tom who s has been seen before in St rats ford? This one was found along- ! side a bedroom window of a house s in Regan Street last night, stretched out in an apparently 3 helplessly drunk condition. ! The occupier of the house directed r a torch on him and then went inside j to call a friend to assist in removing . the intruder, thinking that it would , be necessary to do some lifting and throwing out. On returning, howI ever, they were exceedingly surprised to see the “drunk” completely “recovered” opening the front gate, and thqn running like a champion. , To open the gate takes force, at It ' is very stiff and has a tricky fastening, so that it would prove that ho r ,was not drunk by any means, and . would also suggest that he had made . previous visits. It is also impossible ( for a drunken man to sprint like an , athlete, so the household thin>* there ( is no doubt whatever that the *aan was a Peeping Tom. The occupier of the house in ques- , tion promises him a very painful re- , ceptiou should ,he be caught on the premises again. The intruder was wearing a bowler hat and a light-coloured raincoat, and is of a powerful build.
