ALOFT FOR A YEAR
... SOVIET BALLOON SCHEME ... MOSCOW, Oct. 1. —The Soviet Arctic Institute is planning to keep a balloon afloat for a year in the neighbourhood of Behring Strait. It will be fitted with automatic registering apparatus, recording all meteorological happenings, whibh will be analysed when the balloon is hauled down.
