OVER 700 LB. OF FAT Cardiff is a district renowned for outstanding dairy herds from the point of view of production, and further records are expected from the herd of Mr. A. J. Smith, of Cardiff Road. The record of St. Lambert's Bell, a daughter of Soumise Tom, which Mr. Smith purchased as a yearling from Mr. John Hale in 1919, and which created a New Zealand record with 780.321 b. fat as a four-year-old under semi-official test of 283 days, will be remembered by everyone.
