BRILLIANT SPECTACLE REVIEW BY THE CHIEF SYDNEY, March 22. Lord Badcn-Powcll reviewed Boy Scouts and Girl Guides at Randwick racecourse yesterday. Great crow r ds watched the brilliant spectacles of youthful activity. A combined church service is being hold on the cricket ground this afternoon. GREAT GATHERING. SCENE AT CRICKET GROUND. COMBINED RELIGIOUS SERVICE. SYDNEY, March 22. The greatest thing of its kind ever witnessed in Sydney was seen this afternoon on the Sydney cricket ground when 12,000 Guides, Scouts and Cubs held a combined religious service in connection with Lord Badcn-Powcll’s visit. Over 30,000 people were present. After the service Lady Badcn-Powcll addressed the Guides and Lord BadenPowcll the Scouts and Cubs. The latter spoke mostly of his experiences in Now Zealand, where lie said the Scouts were equal to those in Australia. One of the proudest moments of his life was when ho received a letter from a sailor on a warship telling of a Scout’s wonderful assistance in the recent earthquake.
