BOXING
Boxing enthusiasts are reminded of (he contest between Fairhall and Trowcrn, which is to fake place at the Stratford Town Hall on Saturday next. Fairhall and Troworn are in (he front rank of boxers of their weight in Australasia and patrons can rely on witnessing a contest that promises to he one of the best ever seen in Taranaki. Both hoys are clean, open fighters, and are splendid boxers. There will he none of the clinching and hugging which has spoilt some of the lights which have been held recently. Mr. W. R. Foley will referee the contest and this fact, will ensure to patrons a first-class exhibition. There will be several first-class amateur preliminaries, the contests arranged being as follow: —Jarvis (Iluiroa) v. Whelan (Stratford), Woods (Iluiroa) v. Welch (Tariki), Childs (Stratford) v. Talbot (William), Millar (Tariki) v. Schweiters (JOltham), Roguski (Iluiroa) v. L. Murray (Witham). The box-plan is at Watson’s, and intending patrons arc advised to book early.
