WHO SPECULATES ON WALL « STREET? STATISTICS OP THE CRASH WASHINGTON, March 15. Despite the stock market crash, 504 persons in the United States had incomes of over a million dollars in 1929. The Bureau of Internal Revenue has announced that th»re was a diminution of seven from 1928. A total of 8650 persons had incomes of 50,000 dollars or more, aggregating 5,952,000,000 dollars, Preliminary stock market losses reported on the return totalled 661,000,000 dollars, of which persons with incomes of less than 5000 dollans showed losses of 43,000,000 dollars in speculative activities, indicating the extensiveness of the speculation on Wall Street at the time of the crash.
