WAR DEBTS

RECEIPTS AND PAYMENTS Press Association—Copyright. (Reed. 1.20 p.m.). LONDON, March 12. In the House of Commons Mr. Pethick Lawrence informed Sir F. Hall that Britain, during the current year, received £16,300,000 from German reparations, £17,700,000 from Allied debts, as compared with £33,000,000, which Britain paid to the United States in respect of war debts. Receipts from the Dominions during the same period were £7,632,000, which could not be considered a set-off against the American payments, because Britain had borrowed money here on behalf of the Dominions.
