PARLIAMENT OPENS SPEECH FROM THRONE PROPOSED LEGISLATION TARIFF REVISION MEASURES Press Association. —Copyright. (Reed. 1 p.m.) OTTAWA, March 12. Legislation for the creation of a tariff board for amendments to tariff Bills, making for more effective control of the national finance, for revision of the existing provisions, for Government purchases, amending the Naturalisation Act and altering the Copyright Act, will be introduced during the coming session. The Speech from the Throne was read at the opening of Parliament on Thursday by the Administrator, the Rt. Hon, Lyman. S. Duff, Acting Chief Justice of Canada, in the absence of the Governor-General.
