ACCLIMATISATION WORK MEETING OF SOCIETY Regarding the offer of the Auckland Acclimatisation Society of 2s fid per tail for stoats and weasels, and asking for the Stratford Society's support in the matter, it was resolved at last night's meeting of the executive of the Stratford Society that the Auckland Society he advised that, provided all societies in Taranaki are agreeahle, Stratford was prepared to pay the royalty. On the motion of Messrs. Worthington and Atkinson, it was resolved that 50,000 brown ova be purchased from the North Canterbury, and 10,000 Rainbow ova from the Taranaki Hatchery, and that the Brown ova be kept as long as possible, to the yearling stage if possible. Pisiculture Professor Percival, who recently paid a visit to the district and gave an interesting lecture on trout and their habits, is to be written to and thanked for his visit and the information given. The Secretary was instructed to write to Mr. D. F. Hobbs, North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society, Cx'ristchurch, requesting that the Society be supplied with envelopes j for fish scales.
