CONFIDENCE IN FORBES
UNITED CAUCUS POLICY DISCUSSED LENGTHY MEETING ALL MEMBERS PRESENT PLEDGE OF SUPPORT Press Association. —Copyright. WELLINGTON, This Day. Members of the United Party met in caucus at Parliament Buildings last night, and questions affecting the party's policy were discussed until a late hour. Full confidence in the party's legislative programme was expressed by members, who represented the full strength of the organisation. At the conclusion of the meeting the following" resolution was carried: "This caucus of the United Party extends its continued confidence in the leader, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, and offers him its sincerest good wishes on his return to the Dominion from the Imperial Conference. It .records its appreciation of the able maimer in which he represented this loyal Dominion at the conference. The caucus desires further to express its confidence in the courageous and ! statesmanlike manner in which Mr. Forbes, as Prime. Minister, is facing i the present economic situation in the country, with a view to putting it again on the high road to prosperity."
