MUST BE BLOCKED . ■ * A CLERICAL WARNING T 'AUCKLAND, March 9/ Condemnation of party politics,.at a critical time was expressed by Canon Grant-Cowen in the course of his sermon in St. Matthew's last evenlag- V, "I believe I an* Voicing the opinion W of the great majority of the people f of New Zealand when 1 say that : if Parliament meets in a state of factions and party politics it will be a crime against our Dominion," said the preacher. "Party politics must be blocked, and mea of various parties must get together in a spirit of determined unity to face the crisis and do their best in the interests ..of common humanity. I say that whatever party tries to use this national distress for its own interests will-be swept out of existence by the people of this Dominion."
