FRIENDLY GAME STRATFORD v. HAWERA OLD * BOYS The last competition games having ybeen played last week, only a few matches of a friendly nature were played on Saturday. Stratford dispatched a strong eleven to Hawera to engage a combined Old Boys' team, but rain caused the abandonment of this match when play had just reached an interesting stage, Old Boys having replied to Stratford's good score of 197. with 31 for no wickets'. Hall's innings of 68 was the feature of the Stratford innings.
