The Oddfellows' Hall presented a very gay scene indeed. Multi-coloured paper streamers covered the entire ceiling, while the walls were covered in evergreens. Papej" hats were worn by all and during confetti and streamer dances the effect was carnival. A large crowd was present from as far as Stratford and Tangarakau. Sail's Dance Band (Eltham) supplied excellent music. {Great credit must be given to the committee responsible for such a jolly evening, the members of which were Mrs. Main, MTs. Hillyar, Misses Jeffries, Howe, Price, Moore and helpers. Mr. Ward carried out the duties of M.C. Spot waltz was won by Mr. and Mrs. Lentell (Stratford); Monte Carlto waltz won by Mrs. Curry and Hight. The fund will-benefit by almost £lO. .
