ALLEGED VALUELESS CHEQUE
ALLEGED VALUELESS CHEQUE BUILDER'S ARREST AUCKLAND, March 5. Arrested on Wednesday on a charge of attempting to obtain a motor-car valued at £l9O from a motor firm by means of a valueless cheque for :£2Ol 2s 2d, drawn on the Bank of New Zealand, John Francis Burns, a builder, aged 25. appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Auckland Police Court yesterday. On the application of DetectiveSergeant Kelly, Burns was Temanded until next Wednesday.
