An aeroplane that carries its own parachute in its tail received its first test the other day at Detroit (U.S.A when the daring pilot, Vance Breese, put the ship Into a deadly tail spin and pulled the 'chute release cord the plane coming swinging slowly down under the big umbrella of canvas. The plane was slightly damaged, but Breese was unhurt.
