Zealand and London by 12J per cent, was reached by the New Zealand Dairy Board at its meeting today. Hitherto the honorarium ojf members has been £250 per annum each and that of tho chairman £750 per annum. Tho sum of £7OO will therefore, bo saved by the reduction which is to be effective from Feb. ruary 1 next. In the case of the •salaries tho sum of £7830 is involved, that being" the figure covering tlio head office and Lon•don expenses for the board's last financial year. The per cent, reduction will therefore mean a saving of approximately £950. in agreeing to tho reduction the board took tho view that it was incumbent on it as tho head of the dairy industry to givo a lead towards economy in view the market positon of primary produce.
