Mrs \V. Clarke has returned after a holiday trip to Auckland. Cr J. T. Belcher was absent from this morning's meeting of the Stratford County Council owing to indisposition. Mr. X. 11. Moss was voted to the chair at Friday morning's meeting of the Taranaki Tower Board, in the absence of the chairman, Mr. H. C. Carman. A resolution of sympathy with Mr. Carman in his illness and expressing a hope for his speedy recovery was passed.
