NGAERE SCHOOL.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. Reporting to tho last meeting of the Ngaere iSchool Committee, the headmaster, Mr. T. Taylor,- stated that the roll remaiined the same and the attendance was very good. The physical instructor, Mr. Roydhouse /had visited the school for the purpose of instituting life-sav-ing drill and methods of resuscitation. The probationary teacher, Mr. G. W.. Wellington, had passed in all the subjects for which he sat and had completed class D with the exception of one subject. For the Boys' and Girls' Agricultural Club'ia 2o entries had been received ,this constituting a record number for tile Efchool. Hedges had been attended to and the site of the old school had been sown with grass. At the direction of the committee a gramophone and records had been pur. chased, the records being flliefly those recommended for folk dancing by the physical instructress, Miss Blackie. The headmaster's action in replacing some of the cricket material was approved. Matters in connection with the lawn mowers and roller were left to Mr. J. Scott to attend to.
