SALAMA3 SEXT FOR TRIAL. At the New Plymouth Court yes- . arday Abraham Wally Mahomed Saiaman pleaded not gujilty to a charge of the manslaughter of a boy aged 62 years and was committed for trial to the next session of the Supreme Court at New Plymouth. The charge, as amended on the first day of hearing, is as follows: That between July 3 and August 2, 1930, at New Plymouth, he did in attending to and prescribing for one Lyall Gordon Christie fail to use competent skill, and by improper medical treatment unlawfully accelerate the death of Christie, thereby committing the crime of manslaughter. The verdict from the inquest,! which was conducted simultaneously with the lower court proceedings, wil be delivered on Saturday morning. In' his capacity of coroner Mr R. W. Tate, S.M., said he would go through the evidence before announcing his decision. Saiaman' was readmitted to bail in the same amount as previously —a personal surety of £SOO and two others of £250 each. On the summary charges he was remanded to appear on October 29 airid given, bail in his own recognisance of £250.
