LONDON HAS TOO MANY LUXURY FLATS.

LONDON, October 12. London i a over-stocked with luxury flats, some of which have been empty for over a year owing to the scarcity of tenants able or willing to pay the highest rents demanded 1 . Square miles of the north-western area, principally in the neighbourhood of Baker Street, are almost covered by millionaire flats, none of which is fully occupied', and agents are reducing the rentals by half. Great blocks of flats in Baker Street, possessing private refrigerators, marble halls and private laundries, in fact everything hut tenants, have been reduced to a minimum rental of £44 from £I.OOO.
