Mr P. Skoglund, Town Clerk, leaves for Wellington to-morrow to attend a meeting of the committee appointed by the Municipal Association to report on the matter of municipal taxation. Fishing TrcphFs. So far, the Stratford Aeclim,v lisation Society has received no entries for tihe trophy to bo presented to the junior member catching the largest fish during the season. For the senior trophy three entries have been received, the first fish weighing s.Vlbs., the second; (iUbs., and the third, caught recently by Mr. .1. Fetrie, (>:Jlbs.
