The Railway Department announces in our advertising columns that, in connection with Labour Day celebrations, they are issuing excursj ion lares which amount to the substantial reduction of about 6s in j the £. J The issue of these excursion tic--1 kets covers a period extending from October 24 to October 27 inclusive, and arrangements have meen made by the Railway Department, whereby seats or sleeping berths may be j reserved at any time prior to date of travel. . A rather advantageous concession to heads of families has been made by extending the excursion

‘ issue to enable father, mother, and all of the children under 16 years of age to travel by purchasing three adult fares. This latter concession extends to second class tickets only.
