Mrs- D. M- Clark.,- left Lliis morning for Auckland with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. A. Clarke, who will make her home in Auckland. Mr. John Hale lias received advice that ha has passed the following subjects 'for the teachers' D certificate, English, history mathematics, chemistry and physics- He was an evening pupil of the Stratford Technical High School. Miss No’dino Howard, daughter of Mr- and Mrs. Howard, of Midhirst, was success!ul in passing the senior examination uj the Trinity College of Music with honours (violin). She is eleven years of age, at the end of her second year of tuition, and a, pupil of the Stratford Convent.
