RIG PETROL SAVING. . f ENGINE AT THE BACK. (Received 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, September 11. J. R. Burney, designer of RlOl, has designed a stream-lined motor car applying the lessons which he learned in airship construction, especially those relating to wind resistance.

It is claimed the ca r saves fifty per cent, on petrol consumption, anj while travelling at high speed scarcely touches the ground ( thereby saving tire wear. Th e engine is a straight eighty water-cooled, twenty-two horse power, placed at the back. There is elimination of all noise, heat and fumes. Lengthy review of trial tests indicate the road shocks are eliminated because each wheel is independently sprung. Hump bridges are taken at seventy miles hourly without inconvenience to passengers. The car is being marketed at £ISOO.
