Mr Hunter Smart, who had been on a vsiit to his parents, Mr and Mrs G. Snmr, left this naming for Wellington. Mr C. K. Abbott, who was found unconscious at his fesiden-j yeatc*dav morning, as a result oc an apoplectic stroke died at the Hospital during the afternoon. He had been a resident oi Stratford for about ten years, previous to which he was fanning in North Taranaki and at Cardiff. Of a quiet disposition, he was well liked by those who knew hhn and many friends will extendi sympathy to his relat’ves.
