Bank holiday demand satisfied. Salted 136 s 138 s (135 s 138 s); unsalted 150 s (146 s 150 s); Wheys firsts 130 s (1325); seconds 128 s (130 s), Cheese.—Market steady', should favourable climatic, conditions obtain prices will be maintained. Coloured 82s 83s (83s 84s); white 77s 79s (78s 80s).

TARASAKI STOCK MARKET. Messrs. Newton King, Ltd., report the fololwing prices for stock prevailed last week: FAT SHEEP. Best quality wethers up to 26s 6d. Medium wethers 23s to 25a. Best quality ewes from 19s 6d to 21s. STORE SHEEP. Good 4 and 5 year old ewes, inlamb to black-faced rams, 25s 6d, 235, 20s 9d. Full and failing mouthed ewes 10s to 15s. Best mixed sex hoggets 15s to 17s. Wether hoggets 13s to 15s. Extra good ewe hoggets 19s, Others 14s upwards. Store and forward wethers 18s to 21s 6(1, according to ag e and condition.

CATTLE. By auction best quality heifers realised £6 ss, £5 15s, £5 12s Gd. Medium heifers of good quality £4 15s up to £5 ss. bhJ DAIRY CATTLE. In th e .saleiyards cows of best quality sold at from £l2 to £l6. Mixed coloured cows from £8 to £l2, a'nd old and backward cows at lessei' rates. Well grown Jersey heifers from £lO to £l4.
