JUNCTION ROAD COLLISION
STRATFORD MOTORS GET JUDGMENT. At tlie Stratford Court this morning Mr. R. W. Tate, &.M., delivered, reserved judgment in the case, Arlow v. Stratford Motors. The cause of action was a motor collision on a bridge on Junction Road between Inglewood and New Plymouth, Ar_ low's car meeting a Stratford Motor lorry on the bridge,. Arlotw claimed £165 13a 9d, and Stratford Motors £154 9s. and it was announced at the first hearing that the amounts claimed had been checked and agreed to, so that the object of the action wa s merely to determine which side should pay. At the hearing Mr. A. Coleman appeared for Arlow and Mr. A. A. Bennett for Stratford Motors. After traversing the evidence, Mr. Tate said he found that the driver of the lorry liadl not heen negligent jn erithat Arlow had been negligent in entering on the bridge at a speed wh_ ioh procluded Hum pulling up in time to avert a collision. Judgment (wa« thefrefora entered for Stratford Motors in each case, with costs and expenses £B6 10s.—
