WELLESGTOX, This Day,** The decision not to mak e public the document handed to the prison authorities by Arthur Thomas Maim shortly before his execution at Auckland on Tuesday, was announced by the Minister of Justice, Mon. J. G. Cdbbe. The statement reached the Minister yesterday, and he perused the contents. “There was nothing worth reading in the statement and no purpose would be served by its publication,” he said. The Minister added that no confession had beoa made. This was indicated earlier by the ControllerGeneral of Prisons, Mr R. L. Dallard. The statement merely traversed the evidence given ih the Supreme Court. BURIAL OF 2TUXX. The remains of Munn were buried in the Waikumeti Cemetery at Auckland c*a Wednesday morning. The burial was carried out by th e prison authorities, no claim for the body being made by relatives.
