STRATFORD MAN’S SUCCESS AT WELLINGTON POULTRY SHOW.
At til© Wellington poultry Show. Mr H. J. Kirkwood, of Stratford, had eight entries and secured seven first awards and one second. In the Light* Sussex section he secured a special prize for th© best female Sussex and also a special prize for tue beg? in the Show, It is thought that this was the first- occasion on which a Sussex bird has secured the award for best bird iu the show from all other breeds. At Palmerston North Mr Kirkwood secured four firsts and two seconds with' Ids bantams','the North Island; championship and the North Island Bantam Chib’s special for Pckins, and a special prize for most points in the xmcy section. At Wellington Mr W. J. Me A loon secured lirslb prize for White* Leghorn hen and second and third for pullet.
