RIFLE ASSOCIATION GRANT MAY BE WITHDRAWN
SUGGESTIONS R)R REDUCED PROGRAMME. WELLINGTON, This Day. It is expected that the grant of a £IOOO to the National Rih'e Association will either be reduced or withdrawn altogether next year, but if so the executive intends to hold, the meeting if at all possible. Its length would have to be shortened and the prize "money reduced. The service championship matches, which tako up a day or more, will probably be cut out, for one tiling. One proposal is that local Rifle Associations and* the National Association should hold a cbmbhfecl meeting, but this dosS not find general favour.""*
