Workmen blasting a boulder to form a new road to Tarawerfa Lak© shore, discovered in a small cave a skeleton of a woman and a child. It would seem that the boulder at some period was dislodged
from, the cliff above, Imprisoning the victims. It is possibly an echo
of tile Tarawera eruption of 1886, though the bones suggest am earlier period.
