After Hallows and Watson had been dismissed the only bright spot in the Lancashire innings was the partnership between E, Tyldesley and Hopwood, which added fifty-six. > LONDON, Juno 24. At Manchester only a handful of spectators saw the resumption of the Australia-Lancashire match at Old Trafford. This is the final clay. The weather is dull and windy and the wicket soft and easy. Much indignation was aroused because of Australia's refusal to declare around lunch yesterday, the crowds wanting to see rhfc game fought to a finish instead of affording the Australians batting practice preparatory to the second tost. The result was only about three hundred were present to-day. There is strong opinion that such an important match should never have been arranged at this stage. Scores as follows, at lunch: —
