ANARCHY THREATENS.. TROOPS ASSIST POLICE (Receved 11.35 a.m.) MADRID, June 24. Resulting from a general strike declared yesterday, a state of anarchy threatens Seville, where the shops have been closed and business is at a standstill. There were a number o[ deaths in clashes between police and crowds. Hundreds of arrests were made and troops are assisting the police. Mar. tial law may be. declared.
