CONGRESS AT WELLINGTON.
WELLINGTON, March 5
Tlio Salvation Army Congress opened in the Vivian Street Citadel to-day with a united Home League rally. Officers attending the Congress to the number of 550, -were present, as well as members ol the various Homo Leagues in the city and suburbs. Tonight there was a march of the delegates from the Post Office Square to the Citadel, followed by a welcome meeting at which representative speakers voiced their pleasure at being present and their hopes for the Congress ) success. Commissioners Cunungham and Wilson gave stirring- addresses to the large crowd present. The Congress songsters, of 150 voices, under the direction of Brigadier Ilare’wood, made their, first public appearance at this gathering and contributed much to the success and enjoyment of the occason.
