ADDINGTON MARKET BEEF AND MUTTON UP CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 4. At the weekly metropolitan market at Addington yesterday both beet’ and mutton prices showed increases on those of last week ’s sale. There was a large entry of fat cattle, but in the fat sheep section there was a short supply, the smallest for some time. BURNSIDE PRICES DUNEDIN, Dec. 4. There was a sharp decline in prices obtained for most classes of stock at the Burnside sales to-day. Fat cattle, sheep and lambs were the more affected sections. The reduction in fat cattle prices was from £1 10s to £2 a head) while sheep declined to the extent of 2s and ss, lambs from 3s to 4s a head. Stole cattle, with the exception of cows sold at late rates and the pig market was firm. Fat cattle: The entry totalled 280 head, consisting of good average to prime animals, with a few heavyweights and a number of prime cows.
