“Your former communication could be forgiven on the ground of ignorance, hut your last is Insolent and shows plainly that the slight put upon me was intended. Let me correct you. Members of Parliament do not get their telegrams franked and stampage allowance does not pay my bureau calls. I fail to see what my salary has to do with the matter. You received a salary as clerk of the Dannevirke Coum.ty hut you will certainly tesent it if I sent your a collect telegram dealing with county matters.”
