WEDDING BELLS

WOOD AND WHITTLE. A quiet but charming wedding was celebrated at the Catuolic Church ■ last night, when Capt. Robert Wood, fourth sou of Mrs K Till, of Strat- • ford, was joined in the bonds of holy matrimony to Mrs Hilda V. Whittle, of Stratford. There was a fairly large crowd present at the church, and marry good wrshe s were extended to the happy couple. The bride looked charming wearing a lace coat over an underdress of putty georgette with wedding | cap of petalled vieux ruse to match. I she carried a sheath of arum Tillies to tone. I Mrs W. P. Mark, who acted as matron of honour, wore floral rrirrA ou with lemon and green hat and j bouquet to match. I Mrs Bennett, mother of the hride, [ wore black and gold, and carried a | posy of gold coloured flowers, "while I Mrs Till, mother of the bridegroom, was dressed in black satin, and carried a mauve posy.

The bride was given away by her brother, Mr J. Bennett, of Stratford, and Mr C. Till acted a g best man. After the ceremony the members of the two families were entertained at a wedding supper by Mr and Mrs W. P. Mark at their resiclan.ee, Bre-, con Road. Later the happy couple left for 'Wellington by car, the bride wearing a brown costume with hat to match. The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev.
