TOKO NOTES
The factory lias now five vats uncovered and from that number is producing forty-five cheeses. The milk supply, according to the manager, is slightly more than that of the corresponding period, of last year but the cheese manufactured is slightly less. The reason for the difference is that th© milk being taken in at fhe present time has not the same ratio of solids as that of the previous season. It is hoped that with fine weather the production will increase. Bobby calf collecting is still being carried ouf but the number is decreasing daily and the lorries are not so crowded with calves as formerly. In spite of the lame numbers taken from the district there are plenty of I calves to be seen on the farms, i Lambs are rdontiful in the district I and docking i s apace. ! The next thing that will occupy the - * sheep farmers will be fho shearing.
