MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A special meeting of the management committee of the Taranaki Rugby Union was held at Stratford yesterday, when there were .present; Messrs J. McLeod (chairman), R. Masters, W.. A. Guy, J. Goodwin, W. H. Moyes, EL H. Young, J. Paterson, .J. Garcia and S. E. Neilson (secretary). Til© Maori Advisory Board risked the. union to release a number o>f} players for the Prince of Wales Oup match on September 11. The players .were Ike, R. Williams, T. Conroy, R. Watson, T. Robinson, and R-. Hohaia.

As that is the day the Taranaki team visits Mauawhenua at Palmerston North, the matter was left in the handy of the sole selector, Mr Guy, who will accede to the request as far as possible. It was decided to send 21 placet 8 on tour with the representative* team. Mr J. Goodwin was appointed manager. The itinerary , was approved as follows:—Leave Hawera Tuesday, September 10, and stay at new Royal Hotel, Palmerston North; play Manawhenua on September H 5 leave for Napier September 12; stay at Caledonian Hotel; play Hawke s Bay, Saturday, September 14; leave Napier by cars for Gisborne September 15; stay at Albion Hotel; leave Gisborne by ear for Ruatorea September 16 and stay at Coast Hot© , play East Coast, Wednesday 18t r; leave Ruatorea for Gisborne, Ti - day, 19th; stay at Album Hotel, play Poverty Bay September J.l; leave Gisborne for Napier Septombe 22; stay Caledonian Hotel; express for borne on Monday, I ''TlmWWam will play at Wellington on Ba u d , 21.
