The figures in brackets indicate the nos ition on tlie 3rd fnstast: — Butter: The market remains unchanged and business is slow. The prospects are that prices will remain steady during this month until stocks in London are reduced, and from September to December the prophets expect a higher range of prices. Thereafter 1 much will depend ou the Continental and Australian supply. Wheys remain unchanged. Sajßed 1695-172si (1695-]72). Ilnsalted 108s-172s (1685i17215). Wheys Firsts 158 s (158 s). Wheys Seconds 154 s 1545). Cheese; The market is quiet, having slowly declined during the last fortnight, slipping hack from White OOs-91 s to 85s-86s, and Coloured 935-94 s 94s to 89s-90. There is .absence of anticipating requirements, buyens are acting with joaution preferring to fill sitrreut demands, owisg to the low c.i.f.e. quotation for Canadian which atre offered at 85s c.i.f.e Coloured S9s-90s (90s-9Ls).
