DRAPER'S SHOP FOUND ABLAZE IN TWO PLACES

MARION, This Day Shortly before five o’clock this morning a fire was discovered- in two places—front and rear —of premises occupied by Mr V. Edhouse, a draper -at Bulls. The brigade with a chemical engine suppressed the outbreak but not before considerable damage had been done. The stock suffered greatly from smoke and water. It was found that a wooden panel on the rear door had been broken and there was strong evidence of incendiarism.. Mr Edhouse is at present in Christchurch. FARMHOUSE DESTROYED. IT A WEB A, Tli is Day. During the temporary absence of the owner and occupier, Mr S. Martin, an eight-roomed farm house near Opnnnke, was completely destroyed by fire with all in the early hours of Sunday morning. Information regarding the insurances on the building is not available.
