AUSTRALIANS' SUCCESS
LONDON. First National, a, leading American film company, has bought, at. a satisfactory figure, for a ' super-talkie, George .0. Dixon's play, ''The Isle of Escape," which is based on jack McLaren's novel.
Mr Dixon, who is literary eritor of the Daily'Mail, and formerly was on the Melbourne Herald staff, has. also dramatised Aldous Huxleys book, Point and Counterpoint." He and Mr McLaren are tbe first Australians working for the talkies.
