The following chess team will;! meet New Plymouth in their first match for the Leekre Cup to-night,, at New Plymouth :—E. Butherfurd, F. Hollins, E. Walter, E. Cole, 0. Speck, F, Cook, ]>. Carman and E Souttdy. I\rr Hollins is a new -member, and a very strong player. He was champion for Birmingham for a number of years and second in the English Amateur Championship, and has played such masters at G. E. Belling- , ham, J. H, Blackburne and H. Bird. !
