MARTON MEETING.

FIELDS REVIEWED. . NOTES BY "PAPERMQNEY." Large, fields will be the orde.r of the day for the Marton Winter meeting which takes place to-morrow (Saturday). The course is/ iu good 'order, and everything points to a splendid gathering. —x — Kilburn is very well at present and has been showing good form lately, and is sure to go well. Nucleus and Red Fuchsia may be i-'ie hardest for Kilburn to 'head off over the, last furlong. —x — The Dash Handicap, o furlongs, will be run in two divisions. White Ringlet and Lucky Bag in the first division, and Oallapat and Jack the Jumper iii the second division, may be the ones to carry most support. - -x Star of the East, Vexatious, and Matu are three in the Marton Steeplechase, 2% miles, are a likely trio that may go well. —x — Fourteen are carded for the Winter Hack Handicap, 1 mile and 137 yards. Disrank, Aurora Borealis and Motellus may be. the. public's fancies on the machine and should run prominently. Nukumai is top weight in tae Crofton Handicap, 1 ; \ miles and ~7 yardsj Iwith 9.0, and may want a race or two. Blimp (8.9) is reported to be well. Manly (8.8) has got show. Royal Damon (8.8) should | run prominently. Ruanui (8.7) is sure to be well backed. Papatu (8.2) is unlucky, but may have a chance to-morrow. Shining Armour (8.2) has not had a race for some time.. Starboard Light and Imperial Spark looks the best of the light weights. Ruanui, Papatu and Manly may be the favourites when, the machine closes. Limited, Ked.dar and First Acre are nicely weighted in the Flying Handicap, and mav have something to say at the finish. —x — Joy Gem, Australia and Whit© Ringlet will carry plenty of friends if thev go trv the post in, the Tarewell Hack Handicap.
